One of my favorite times of year! At this point in the summer we have all been able to enjoy the area and the reasons we live here to begin with. Weather your passion is fishing, swimming, golfing, boating or simply enjoying the fresh air with your family. We all enjoy the eclectic “make your self at home” atmosphere that you get when you are with your friends on Anna Maria Island. The 4th of July Festivities are just one day out of 365 days a year that this Island feels a little magical. Everyone has their own traditions, activities, events, games, and ways they like to celebrate 4th of July. Some wake up, dress the family up in their best red, white, and blue swim attire and head to the beach or pool. Others will head into town and shop the day away. My personal favorite is having a group of my favorite friends and family over and lighting up the grill, which stays going all day with a variety of meat, and fresh local fish that we caught earlier this week.People come and go all day long, everyone has the same purpose and that is to celebrate this Country and being grateful for our little Island Oasis on Anna Maria Island. We always try to remember the reason for the Holiday and celebrate this country we are all so fortunate to live in.
