Welcome to Shady Mango! An inviting ground-level vacation home just three blocks from the beach! With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this rental sleeps up to six guests. You and your guests can sit back, relax, watch movies, and connect over effortless conversations in the living area. The fully equipped kitchen has ample counter space, making meal prep a breeze. Delight in your delicious island-inspired homemade and Anna Maria Island take-out at the indoor table or outside at the dining table, where you can also enjoy the island breeze. There is an electric fireplace in the house for guest use.

The primary bedroom offers a calming atmosphere perfect for catching up on much-needed sleep and has a tv for late-night entertainment. The second bedroom is perfect for another couple and has plenty of closet space for vacation attire and beach necessities. The primary bedroom has a bathroom which features a stand-alone tub. The guest bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Relax in your private huge backyard oasis, where you and your guests can make a splash in the pool, soothe your muscles in the spa, and relax on one of the many lounge chairs. There is a BBQ grill perfect for grilling locally caught seafood. Explore the beautiful beaches Anna Maria Island offers, swim in the warm turquoise waters, and feel the sugary sand cover your feet. Afterward, browse the fantastic boutiques along famous historic Pine Ave or head to any local restaurants for delicious treats and fresh seafood! Hop on the free trolley and explore the island! Anna Maria Island has many guided tours. Kayak or paddleboard the bay and the calm Gulf of Mexico, where you might even encounter some wildlife!

EXTERIOR

After a long day at the beach, head back to Shady Mango and take advantage of its beautiful outdoor scape. Enjoy the outdoor shower to rinse off any sand and then take a dip in the crystal-clear private heated pool and large spa. There is a gas grill and multiple outdoor dining spots to enjoy a bite to eat in a beautiful, tropical landscape.

The pool heat is $150.00 a week. Pool heaters in private homes are locked for your safety and controls must not be tampered with as they are monitored by the pool company. 86° F is the highest heat temperature setting which might not be always reached. Please note if cold days and nights occur, water temperatures will drop and may stay cooler longer. Pool heaters will not operate and will automatically shut down if outside temperatures get too cold. While we take every precaution to ensure that pools are heated as specified, weather conditions may affect the temperature of the pool. Nothing can be done about this issue. Outdoor spas are not hot tubs and require heat at the additional cost. The temperature of a spa is typically set at the same temperature as the pool. In the event of pool equipment malfunction during your stay, Duncan Real Estate will expedite repairs as quickly as possible. It may be necessary to close swimming pools for maintenance purposes. No refund or rent adjustment will be made for circumstances beyond our control, malfunctions, or loss of use of equipment or amenities.

There are parking spaces for two cars at Shady Mango.

Please keep in mind that you are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

The backyard is the perfect oasis!

"Darling historic home in the heart of north A.M.I.. Great location, we were able to walk to beach, bay, restaurants, and shopping. In the middle of busy area but it felt secluded. The backyard is the perfect oasis. Only thing that was a challenge was the one shower. There is a gorgeous clawfoot tub but not super practical when trying to get 4 people ready to head out for the day. Not a negative at all, just more of a preference. We would highly recommend the Shady Mango!

"Our stay at Shady Mango was perfect. It lived up to our expectations and more. The area inside was spacious and the two bedrooms were beautifully decorated with plenty of storage and hanging space. The kitchen was well equipped, including an Ice and Water dispenser which was a great plus! We cooked on the BBQ most nights which was very easy to use. We spent most of our time in the backyard sitting out on the decking providing ample coverage whilst feeling connected with the outside. The garden is filled with luscious green trees and plants and plenty of wildlife strolled through each day. We have a 2 children (5 and 8 years old) and they literally lived in the pool and enjoyed the pool accessories that were left. The beach trolley and beach equipment that was provided was also handy. As for location of the place it was ideal. 2 minutes walk and you were on the east side of the beach where you can watch the sunset and 5 minutes walk and you can watch the sunset on the westside.

Spectacular

"In the summer of 2024 we made arrangements to stay here in February 2025. We weren't sure what to expect after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Any concerns were entirely unfounded. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated. Appliances are new. King size bed is very comfortable. The backyard is beyond description, private and a retreat of its own. Pool and hot tub are marvelous. Beautifully landscaped. The property, inside and out was impeccably clean! Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and a wagon are all for guest use. It's evident the owner cares and invests in the property, rather than treating it solely as a revenue stream. While there, we checked to see if it was available to stay another week. 14 days just weren't enough!

Awesome Bungalow in heart of Pine Avenue

"Beautifully renovated 1925 bungalow on the north end of AMI on a popular street. We've rented all over the island over the past 30 years. Now that our children are adults, we wanted something in the heart of the action so they could venture out at night on foot. We could walk to shops & restaurants, walk to the beach or relax in the resort-like backyard. Loved it. Pool and spa were a pleasure. If there was any damage from Hurrican Milton, you would never have known it. Duncan Real Estate was very helpful if we had questions. Would definitely rent it in the future.

"This property is perfectly located on the island for someone who wants to be able to walk to local restaurants and shops while still being close enough to the beach. "Everything from the inside to outdoor was charming! The landscape in back was breathtaking. This little piece of heaven had Everything we needed and more. Perfect location to the Quant and inviting shops around us, that I will miss going into daily. Close to the beach and coffee shop which was my favorite. "The Shady Mango was excellent overall. The pool area/backyard is a paradise. The heated pool worked well and the hot tub was nice. The house was well stocked and very clean, kitchen is small but well equipped and very usable. The location is great - walkable to the beach, with toddlers and wagons, and also to all of the shops and dining on Pine Ave. Plenty of beach chairs were provided, and a wagon to help get everything to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much.

"We spent Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. It was a few days after hurricane Idalia passed and the team kept us in the loop of how things were going. "This house was just what we were looking for! It is a great location where we were able to walk down the road to either coast with food and shopping options along the way. "Shady Mango was the perfect property for us to meet; a sister reunion! Great location in the village. Comfortably and beautifully furnished, the Shady Mango is such a lovely place for a relaxing vacation! I can’t say enough about the stunning backyard! "The house was quaint and comfortable, but the outdoor living space made the entire experience. There was red tide in the area so the beach was hit or miss during our stay, but the backyard pool, deck and privacy made the entire trip. First class accommodations that could easily fit a family of six. It’s located in the heart of restaurants, shopping and beaches, and most importantly 3 fabulous ice cream shops within walking distance. Highly recommended and give it 5 stars.
