For true Southern Living and if only the best will do, this beautiful Island vacation home is for you! Being only one house from the lovely beaches of Anna Maria Island and three houses to Tampa Bay you can enjoy all the waterways the Island has to offer! This is a historical cottage that has been totally remodeled for your enjoyment. Marmalade Mermaid is not even 100 steps to the beach access and the crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, fringed with seven miles of white sand beach which stretches out in a gentle curve in both directions. Marmalade Mermaid is only three houses from Tampa Bay where you can put in your paddleboards or kayaks easily. This home is near Leffis Key so you can paddle many mangrove lines and see loads of wildlife. Since this home is a historical cottage, the windows do not open throughout the home.

EXTERIOR

Step outside and take in a tropical backyard with a heated swim spa for shared guest use. The swim spa is 14 ft x 8 ft and the temperature is set at 86 F. Water temperatures may be lower during the winter months. Please note if cold days occur, water temperatures will drop and may stay cooler longer. Pool and Spa heaters might not operate and will automatically shut down if outside temperatures get too cold. While we take every precaution to ensure that pool or spa is heated as specified, weather conditions may affect the temperature of the pool. Nothing can be done about this issue. If the pool or spa equipment malfunction during your stay, Duncan Real Estate will expedite repairs as quickly as possible. It may be necessary to close pool for maintenance purposes. No refund or rent adjustment will be made for circumstances beyond our control, malfunctions, or loss of use of equipment or amenities.

There are enough parking spaces for at least three cars at this property.

Small dogs under 25 lbs. are welcome for a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per pet. The pet fee does not cover any damage caused by the pet.

Please keep in mind that you are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

"We chose this property for the beach house vibe. We were not disappointed. There’s a big wrap around porch. Big living room for family game nights. It’s about a 2 min walk to the beach (if you walk slow). You can walk less than 1/2 mile to amazing restaurants and shopping. It’s not overly crowded where this house is, so the beach isn’t crowded either. And the property managers were excellent communicators and promptly answered any questions we had. And ahhh, those sunsets over the Gulf of America are stunning.

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Marmalade Mermaid! We had a group of 8 and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The decor was beautiful and everything was very clean upon check in. The house had everything we needed and we were a short walk across the street from the beach. We loved the large porch, swim spa and all the beach equipment. We had a couple minor problems and they were addressed very quickly. Communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again!

"If you’re renting on AMI, it makes sense to have your management team right on the island with you. We just had a beautiful week on AMI and as I have said before, Duncan Vacation Rentals made it easy. Prior to booking I had called ahead and Sybille was able to answer my questions about the state of AMI post hurricane. She painted a clear picture for me as to how the beaches were, as well as the ongoing recovery on different parts of the island. With that, we booked our favorite spot with confidence and we had a wonderful and relaxing time. Prior to our stay we were texted a pre-arrival informational guide as well as our door code. The link to our home’s guide was packed with usable info, not only about the home, but other information about the whole area. I referred to the guide numerous times during the week and found it very helpful. During the week we had a small issue with our internet, and after a call to the service, Petra got back to us right away and helped guide us through for a quick fix. So no matter who we dealt with at Duncan, the team was always kind, understanding, and helpful. I can’t imagine not using Duncan. We have used them 4 times now and they have a proven track record with us; and with so many other things to plan for a vacation, it’s just good to know that the Duncan Team will be there literally “on the island” with and for you. "We stayed for a 3 day weekend. My husband, myself, 3 teens, a toddler and an infant. Plenty of room. Really cute beach house. The beach is right there with a crosswalk. The street dead ends to the bay side. We got to see the sunrise over the bay and the sun set on the beach! It was beautiful. Perfect for the teens, they could safely walk back and forth from the beach to the house all day. The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked in for our whole stay breakfast lunch and dinner. The bedrooms all have a bathroom. The small swim spa was a great addition but definitely needs some pool maintenance, the kids still swan in it though. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back!

"This was a super cute stay, especially you can tell that hurricanes hit the area pretty bad. We enjoyed every part of the house and it was a huge plus that beach was in walking distance with the cross walk located right there. Neighborhood is quiet at night too. Would stay again!

"We're not a "sit at the beach" family, but enjoy all the activities that surround it. So this location was perfect...a few minutes we were at the beach (lots of chairs from the house to use) and then within a short drive to LB, had free pickleball and a canoe/paddleboard launch to enjoy the calm intercoastal water! The House layout was perfect - one big open room and comfortable BRs. The outside hammock was amazing! Liked not sharing the grounds w/ another family. Manager was very responsive to a few small requests. Overall wonderful stay!

"Excellent location. Could see ocean from porch and within walking distance of so much. House does look older on the outside, but it was so neat on inside and had a great layout for what we needed. The house was equipped well and felt homey. The mattresses were as good as at home.

Better than expected!

"Seriously better than expected. Literally steps away from the beach, need the restroom you can make it back to the house in under 1 minute, close enough the kids could walk back and forth from the beach to the house on their own. Clean and comfortable, an amazing outdoor shower and great water pressure. Lots of beach necessities to use are provided, chairs, umbrellas, skim board, sand toys etc. Cold air conditioning and plenty of hot water. Walking distance to downtown with lots of shops and restaurants. My family and I have rented several Airbnb’s all over the US and abroad and Duncan’s home is definitely one of our favorites, everything was perfect.

"Our family (7 adults) recently stayed at Marmalade Mermaid and loved it! Walking distance to our favorite beach as well as our favorite shopping, dining, nigh life locations. House had plenty of room and we loved having 3 full baths as well as an outdoor shower and hot tub. "This house will definitely be a repeat for us!! It was just perfect!! Decorated so colorful, plenty of space and just steps away from the beach and the bay!!! Not on the main drag that is beach front but it’s nice because it’s very quiet! We had an issue with a couple of things but management made sure all was taken care of very quickly! We will definitely return!

"What a lovely home!!! Perfect location with porch views of the sunset. Quaint seaside decors. Linen on beds and towels were excellent. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. Lovely back yard with swings and hammock. So clean when we arrived. Comfortable and spacious seating areas. All furnitures in good repair. Lovely decor. Only difficulty was activating the TV sets and WiFi’s which required multiple calls - and two TVs not functional. We had a great visit!! Thank you :)

"Beautiful house and location! We enjoyed our stay and we felt very comfortable at the house. They have a nice outside shower on the side of the house, a foot shower in the front of the house, a nice spa pool. The rooms were nice and each had their own full bath. It made it very comfortable with my four kids and mom. They had all kinds of toys, chairs and boogie boards. The porch was nice and the kids loved the porch swing. Overall amazing stay. The beach was beautiful and right across the road. Just loved everything about the house, the beach, and the stay. Can’t wait to go back! Duncan real estate was also very attentive and we felt that if anything was wrong they would help immediately. Highly recommend! 10/10!

"This property is AMAZING. You cannot beat the location right across the street from the beach and just a few minutes from Anna Maria. "This is a beautiful and comfortable home and we enjoyed our stay immensely! It was literally steps from the beach. The pool was a nice bonus. Between the AC and the fans in every room, the house stayed at a comfortable temperature, even at 90 degrees outside. The porch and the swimspa were great. We loved all the decor. "We stayed in this house with another family and we all loved the house. It is an older house that is updated and has a great floor plan. The large living room, dining area, and kitchen flows together well. Drinking coffee on the wrap around porch was enjoyable. The beach is just a short walk away. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. We have gone south for many spring breaks in the past and this was one of our favorites.

"Great place - open floor plan- plenty of room to move around and relax. Across the street is the beach. Hot tub was a bonus- family really enjoyed it- sat on the porch at night - coffee in the morning. GREAT!
