The Gemini meteor was a site to see last night. We are currently on the tail end of the shower but if you are staying at one of our vacation rentals or just happen to be on the island tonight we highly suggest grabbing a blanket and hitting the beach. Our island offers a front row seat to most meteor showers due to the minimal light pollution. The Gemini meteor shower can be seen every year between December 4 and December 16, with its peak activity being around December 13-14. The shower owes its name to the constellation Gemini because the meteors seem to emerge from this constellation in the sky.
