Play with the Minions at Universal Studio!

If you are ready to take a break from the beach on Anna Maria Island you can be one of the first to explore the brand new blaster game at the Universal Orlando Resort. The park is about 2 driving hours away and a great day trip.

This one-of-its-kind Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is in the expansive Minion Land. Guests of all ages are invited to experience the world of the Minions with their favorite characters from this franchise.

Located at the entrance to Minion Land, the attraction blends immersive sets, interactive game-based technology, animation and an original storyline where guests can put their villainous skills to the ultimate test. Upon entering the attraction, you will be transported to Villain-Con which is the largest convention for villains around the globe. The challenge is to see who will become the newest member of the “Vicious 6” supervillain group, featured in the hit film: “Minions: Rise of Gru.”

As you make your way through the convention, you venture through the trade show floor, stocked with the latest gadgets, vehicles, and fashion to pull off the most heinous schemes. Then you pick up the “E-Liminator X” blaster. It is equipped with Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks and more to cause as much mayhem and destruction as possible to earn points throughout the competition. As you wind and glide aboard a moving pathway, you will encounter each member of the Vicious 6, voiced by the original cast from the film.

Minion Land also features a unique dining location, various eateries, shopping and entertainment offerings inspired by some of the hit films and characters. In addition to enjoying the wildly popular Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction. Guests can also stop by the outdoor Illumination Theater façade to meet, greet, and interact with beloved characters like the Minions, Gru, Margo, Edith, and Agnes from the “Despicable Me” franchise, and Rosita, Gunter and Johnny from the hit film “Sing.”
