The health and safety of our guests, employees and homeowners is our number one priority. During this challenging time Duncan Real Estate is taking steps to protect against the spread of coronavirus and encourages all guests to practice social distancing. Please familiarize yourself with all Covid 19 related updates below.

 

 

 

 

 

Mandatory Face Covering

There are mandatory face covering ordinances in place for Manatee County and also separate ones for Holmes Beach and Anna Maria City.
The Manatee County resolution requires an individual in a business establishment to wear a face covering while inside the business, unless social distancing can be achieved (6 feet or more apart). The mask mandate will not apply to children under age six or to those “who have trouble breathing due to a chronic pre-existing condition or individuals with a documented or demonstrable medical problem.

Minimal Person-to-Person-Contact

Duncan Real Estate minimizes the need for person-to-person contact.
Most properties offer key less entry for contact less check in.
Our office staff is available every day per phone but our doors will stay closed until further notice.

Housekeeping Standards

Between each stay, our professional housekeepers are taking extra precautions to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. Our local cleaners have deployed enhanced cleaning products and procedures, in line with all Centers For Disease Control Cleaning and Disinfecting guidelines. Disinfecting products are on the list of chemicals approved by the CBC (Center for Biocide Chemistries) and require dwell time and should sit on the surface to kill viruses and microbes. Properties offer hotel style triple sheeting or exchange of comforters after each guest stay. Soft surfaces and upholstery are sprayed with Lysol or sanitizing products.
Every effort is made to have each property ready for a 4:00 pm check in. However, we apologize in advance if housekeeping has not been completed by 4:00 pm due to the newly implemented safety procedures.

Safety Recommendations

The best line of defense against coronavirus is taking measures to not contract it. These are the most effective preventative measures everyone can take:
Wash your hands frequently with soap.
Use hand sanitizer if you do not have access to soap and water.
Avoid touching your face.
Avoid contact with sick people, and stay home and seek medical attention if you feel sick.

Many of our homes are a short walk from the beach of our island that is lightly populated and perfect for social distancing. There is plenty to do indoors and outdoors for children of all ages without the need to have uninvited person-to-person contact during your stay. Read the CDC recommendations and Florida recommendations for further information.

Manatee County Vacation Rental Plan

Please see the approved Manatee County Vacation Rentals Plan, revised August 7, 2020.
There are 3 provisions regarding reservations:

1. Prohibit rentals from international travelers in a country with a substantial community spread
of COVID-19 and prohibited by Executive Order.
2. The number of guests in each rental will be limited to no more than 10 persons and expand
in accordance with State guidelines as new phases are entered. The number of guests
allowed should abide by local ordinance occupancy limits.
3. On August 6, 2020, the Governor issued Executive Order 20-192 removing the travel
restrictions on New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Duncan Real Estate Cancellation Policy

New reservations taken after June 1 fall under a relaxed cancellation policy. In case of a Fl government mandated vacation rental shut down for Duncan Real Estate properties due to COVID-19, a credit for paid monies will be offered towards a future stay up to 12 months of the original arrival date.
